ATHENS, Ohio – Eastern Kentucky led early, but couldn't stymie the Ohio University offense in a 100-60 road loss on Sunday.

Abby Wright's triple from the left corner put the Colonels (0-3) in front 3-2 with 8:34 left in the opening period. However, the Bobcats (3-0) scored the next 16 points to go in front 18-3 and never looked back.

Ohio scored the final eight points of the quarter as well and led by 23 at the first intermission.

The Bobcats came into the game averaging 91 points and shooting 52 percent from the field. Ohio hit on 55 percent of its shots on Sunday.

Paige Murphy, a four-year member of the EKU softball team and a 2018 All-American, scored her first points on the hardwood when she knocked down a three-pointer to open the third quarter.

Wright recorded a double-double for Eastern, finishing with 17 points and 11 rebounds.Â
Bria Bass added 14 points. The Colonels shot 32 percent from the field for the game.

Cece Hooks scored a game-high 21 points for Ohio.
