NASHVILLE, Tenn. –
Eastern Kentucky overcame a 2-0 deficit, but couldn't hold off a seventh inning rally by Belmont, and dropped game two of the Ohio Valley Conference series 6-4 on Saturday.

The two teams will conclude their series on Sunday.  The game time has been changed to 1 p.m. ET due to the expected arrival of poor weather.

The Colonels (5-10, 0-2 OVC) fell behind 2-0 after three innings but began to mount a comeback in the fourth and fifth.  Cornell Nixon scored on a wild pitch in the fourth inning to get Eastern on the board.  With two outs and one on in the top of the fifth, Daniel McFarland launched an 0-1 pitch over the wall in right field to give the visitors a 3-2 lead.

After EKU added a run in the sixth on a double down the left field line by Chris Botsoe, Belmont strung together four runs in the seventh to take the lead for good.  Kyle Conger's bases loaded single to left field brought home two runners and made it a 5-4 game in favor of the Bruins.

Ryland Kerr finished 2-for-4 with a run scored for Eastern.  Conger had two hits in three at bats and drove in two for Belmont.
