Final Results

AWENDAW, S.C. – The men's golf team tied for 12th at The Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate, one of the most prestigious college golf events in the nation.
 
The Colonels (880) tied with Georgia State (880) and finished just one shot behind Louisville (879).  EKU shot rounds of 296 and 306 on Sunday and Monday.  Eastern's final round 278 was 10 shots under par.
 
The 15-team event was contested at the par 72, 7,222-yard Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw, South Carolina.
 
Mississippi (841) finished first by one shot over Kent State (842).  Kentucky (844) was third and Iowa State (855) placed fourth.  The field also included Missouri (5th), Auburn (T6th), Wisconsin (T6th), North Carolina State (8th) and South Carolina (9th).
 
Eastern Kentucky finished in front of 14th place Georgia Southern (892) and 15th place Wofford (908).
 
Four Colonels shot under par during Tuesday's final round.
 
Erik Lindwall led EKU and tied for 29th overall.  He followed an opening round 75 with an even-par 72 and a one-under 71.  Noah Combs (220) tied for 42nd and Will Sallee (221) tied for 47th.  Edvin Lindgren (223) fired a 6-under round of 66 on Tuesday and finished tied for 55th.
 
EKU closes out the regular season on April 8-10 at the Greenbrier Intercollegiate hosted by Marshall on the Old White TPC course at The Greenbrier in White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia.
