LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University softball team fell to the #19 University of Kentucky Tuesday night at John Cropp Stadium.
 
The Wildcats started hot, plating six in the first inning to doom the Colonels.
 
A home run added to that total in the bottom of the third.
 
Johnkyria Alston tallied a hit in the top of the first and Zoe Mihalicz tacked on another in the top of the fifth, but neither were enough to bring anyone around.
 
Abbey Cheek called game with a three-run bomb in the bottom of the sixth to make it 10-0.
 
The Colonels (20-12, 3-1 OVC) will be back in action this weekend for a conference road swing at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on Saturday and Eastern Illinois on Sunday.
