Box Score

RICHMOND, Ky.
– The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team dropped an Ohio Valley Conference matchup with Southeast Missouri, 1-0, on Friday afternoon.

EKU outshot visiting SEMO, 11-9, on the day; however, it was the Redhawks (8-4, 5-1 OVC) that capitalized on an opportunity in the 27th minute. Jennifer Brian found Hailey Block on a breakaway. Block's shot hit the right crossbar and went in. The goal proved to be the game-winner.

Senior Marian Wolski and sophomores Lauren Barcelona and Sarah Owusu paced EKU (4-10, 2-4 OVC) with two shots apiece in the game.

Freshman Ali Kirk attempted the Colonels' only shot on goal.

Junior center back Katie Shaffer played all 90 minutes on the Colonel backline, while junior goalkeeper Billie Clark made three saves in the net.

Friday was Senior Day at EKU Soccer Field. Five Colonel seniors – Wolski, Sam Eastes, Larissa Heslop, Rachele Manfre and Monica Rios – were honored after the game.
