JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Eastern Kentucky will try to secure a second straight winning season when the Colonels close out the 2019 campaign at Jacksonville State on Saturday.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.

- Jacksonville State leads the series 10-6 and has won six straight against Eastern. EKU is 3-5 against the Gamecocks in Jacksonville.
- The last time the teams met on JSU's home field, the Gamecocks won 41-25 in 2017.
- Last season in Richmond, Eastern Kentucky fell behind 28-0 at halftime and suffered a 56-7 defeat to eighth ranked Jacksonville State.

THE COLONELS
- Eastern Kentucky moved to 6-5 this season, and 4-3 in the OVC, after beating Tennessee Tech, 22-10, at home on Saturday.
- The Colonels held Tennessee Tech to 150 yards of offense, including just two rushing yards. TTU came into the game averaging 31 points and 398 yards of offense. Tech was held to a season-low 10 points. The Tennessee Tech passing attack was held more than 100 yards below its average. Only one TTU offensive drive crossed the EKU 30 yard line.
- Eastern leads the OVC in scoring defense (21.9 ppg), passing yards allowed (196.6 per game), third down defense (31.4 percent) and red-zone defense (68.6 percent). The Colonels are second in rushing defense (122.6 per game) and total defense (319.3 per game).

Aaron Patrick has eight sacks this season. He now has 25.5 career sacks and is in fourth place on EKU's all-time sacks list, 1.5 behind two players tied for second with 27 -- Chad Bratzke (1990-93) and David Wilkins (1988-91).

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Jacksonville State is 6-5 this season and 3-4 against OVC teams. The Gamecocks have lost two straight, falling at Tennessee-Martin, 22-17, and at Tennessee Tech, 37-27.
- JSU averages 27.7 points and 422 yards of offense per game. The bulk of the offense comes from 295 passing yards per contest.
- Defensively, Jacksonville State allows 27.5 points and 379 yards of offense per game. Gamecock opponents have churned out 151 yards per game on the ground and 228 through the air.
- In its most recent game, JSU allowed 185 yards on the ground to Tennessee Tech.
- The Gamecock offense is powered by quarterback Zerrick Cooper. The redshirt junior, who began his collegiate career at Clemson, has completed 59 percent of his passes (239-for-404) for 3,093 yards. He has thrown 25 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions. He ranks eighth and 12th in the nation respectively in passing yards and touchdowns. In addition, Cooper has rushed for 276 yards and scored six times on the ground. Josh Pearson has caught 57 passes for 915 yards, including 13 touchdown grabs.
