EKU Women's Basketball Hits The Road South To Take On Mercer On Sunday

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's women's basketball team heads south to Georgia to take on Mercer University on Sunday.  
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- The all-time series between the two teams is tied, 2-2.
 
- The Bears won the last meeting between the two teams in 2014, 69-64.

THE COLONELS
-  Eastern is 2-2 after losing to Miami (Ohio), 75-57, on Wednesday night at home.
 
-  Bria Bass posted her best game of the year with 17 points and seven rebounds against the RedHawks.  
 
-  Freshman Anysa Jordan posted a career-best 11 points in 20 minutes off the bench against Miami (Ohio).
 
-  The Colonels outrebounded Miami 36-31 on Wednesday night.  
 
-  I'Liyah Green ranks fifth in the conference in rebounds per game averaging 7.5.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Mercer comes in at 1-4, after falling to Georgia, 76-60, on Thursday night.
 
-  The Bears have three players averaging double-digit points on the year.
 
-  Jaron Dougherty led the way for Mercer against Georgia posting a game-best 16 points, three blocks and three steals.
 
-  The Bears forced Georgia into 23 turnovers on Thursday night.   
 
-  Mercer got out-rebounded 51-28 in the loss to the Bulldogs.
 
-  Mercer is averaging 63.2 points per game on the year.
