EKU Women's Basketball Travels To Nashville To Take On Vanderbilt

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's women's basketball team hits the road to Nashville to take on Southeastern Conference foe Vanderbilt University on Sunday.
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- Vandy leads the all-time series between the two teams, 5-0.
 
- The Commodores won the last meeting between the two teams, 80-38, in Nashville.
 
THE COLONELS
-  Eastern is 6-3 after knocking off Xavier, 56-55, Sunday in Cincinnati.
 
-  I'Liyah Green posted 11 points, 12 rebounds, seven blocks, three assists and three steals in the comeback win over the Musketeers.  
 
-  Qay Stanton posted a career-best 13 points against Xavier on Sunday.  
 
-  Eastern trailed by as many as 21 in the first half and 16 points in the fourth quarter before using a 27 point fourth quarter to come back and beat Xavier on Sunday.  
 
-  The Colonels shot 75 percent from the field and the three-point line in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback.
 
-  EKU has trailed in the fourth quarter in five of the team's six wins on the year.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Vanderbilt is 6-3 after beating Tennessee Tech, 75-61, Thursday Dec. 5 at home.
 
-  The Commodores are 3-0 against the Ohio Valley Conference this year.  
 
-  Mariella Fasoula led the way for the Commodores against Tennessee Tech with 23 points and 11 rebounds.
 
-  Vandy out-rebounded the Golden Eagles 45-38 in their comeback win.   
 
-  The Commodores held Tennessee Tech to 38 percent shooting on the game.

Eastern Kentucky wraps up the 2019 calendar year next Friday when the Colonels travel to Indianapolis to take on IUPUI. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
