EKU Softball Hits The Road For Four Games Against UT Martin And Southeast Missouri

MARTIN, Tenn. – The Eastern Kentucky University softball team hits the road to take on the University of Tennessee at Martin and Southeast Missouri State University.
 
First pitch against UT Martin is 4 p.m. with game two following 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
 
The Southeast Missouri doubleheader will start at 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Game two will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of game number one. 
 
Inside the Series                                                                                                                   
-Eastern leads the all-times series between UT Martin, 46-33.
 
-SEMO leads the all-time series between the two teams, 37-35.
 
What EKU Brings:
-EKU comes into the weekend 16-11, after sweeping Tennessee Tech and splitting a pair of contests against Jacksonville State.
 
-Hannah Clark was named OVC Player of the Week last week. She also became the program's all-time home run leader with her two-run home run against Jacksonville State on Sunday.
 
-Sammi Miller leads the way at the plate for the Colonels with a team-best .402 batting average, five doubles, one triple and 12 RBIs
 
-Clark ranks 13th in the country in runs batted in per game and 24th overall in RBIs on the season.
 
-Mollie Paulick ranks fourth in the country in saves.  
 
-Eastern ranks 32nd in the country in home runs per game. 
 
Scouting the Opponent:
-UT Martin comes into the weekend at 21-12 after falling to Southern Illinois in a midweek game.  
 
-Paige Clark leads the way for the Skyhawks at the plate, hitting a team-best .427 with, two doubles, two triples, one home run and 15 RBIs. Erin Gallagher leads the way in the circle for Martin. She is 5-1 on the year with five complete games and one save.   
 
-Southeast Missouri comes into the weekend at 25-8 after splitting a pair of contests with Belmont over the weekend.  
 
-Rachel Anderson paces the Redhawk offense with a team-high .475 batting average, six doubles, seven triples, seven home runs and 34 RBIs. Haley Thogmartin leads the way in the circle for SEMO. She is 10-3 on the year with a team-best 2.04 ERA.  
 
-Southeast Missouri ranks 40th in the country in home runs per game.
 
Eastern returns home for a midweek game against 18th ranked Kentucky, it will be their Suicide Awareness game.
