MURRAY, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University softball team hits the road for four big conference games against Murray State University and Austin Peay State University.
First pitch against Murray State on Friday will be at 4 p.m. with game two starting approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Both games will air on ESPN+. First pitch against Austin Peay is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday. Game two will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

Scouting the Opponent:
-Murray State comes into the weekend at 21-23 (11-5 OVC), after falling in its midweek game to North Alabama.
-Lillie Goetz paces the offense for the Racers with a team-best .323 batting average. She has 13 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 35 RBIs. Hannah James leads the way in the circle for Murray. She is 11-10 on the year with a 2.58 ERA. She has 104 strikeouts over 138 and one-third innings.
-Austin Peay comes into the weekend at 25-18 (10-4 OVC), after sweeping a doubleheader against Tennessee Tech on Wednesday.
-The Govs are led by the combination of Kacy Acree and Danielle Liermann. Acree is hitting .349, with 11 doubles, one triple, six home runs and 25 RBIs. Liermann is hitting .345, with seven doubles, 15 home runs and 37 RBIs. Morgan Rackel leads the way in the circle for APSU. She is 18-5 on the year with 181 strikeouts over 152 and two third innings.
Eastern wraps up its regular season next Thursday when they travel to Nashville to take on Belmont University. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
