NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Eastern Kentucky University softball team hits the road for a doubleheader against conference foe Tennessee State University on Saturday.  
 
First pitch against Tennessee State is scheduled for 2 p.m., with game two starting approximately 30 minutes after game one.

-Eastern Kentucky leads the all-time series between the two teams, 68-10.
 
-EKU won both contests last year in Richmond, 4-0 and 7-3.

-EKU comes into the contest at 18-14 (5-3 OVC)  after falling in its midweek game, 11-5, to Kentucky.
 
-Hannah Clark paces the offense with a batting average of .379, 10 doubles, nine home runs and 38 RBIs.
 
-Clark ranks 18th in the country in runs batted in per game and 30th on the country in RBIs
 
-Mollie Paulick ranks third in the country in saves.  
 
-Eastern ranks 34th in the country in home runs per game. 
 
-The Colonels rank 46th in scoring on the year. 
 
 
Scouting the Opponent:
-Tennessee State comes into the contests at 8-18 (1-7 OVC) after sweeping Alabama A&M in a pair of contests in the midweek.   
 
-The Tigers are led by Bri Vire at the plate. Vire has a team-best .372 batting average, four doubles, one triple and eight RBIs.   
 
-Raven Loveless leads the way in the circle for the Tigers. She is 6-7 on the year with a team-best 3.23 ERA.  
 
-TSU ranks fourth in the conference in triples per game.   
 
-Tennessee State ranks fourth in the conference in double plays per game.
 
Eastern returns home for a seven game home stand against in-state rival Morehead State on Tuesday. First pitch is at 4 p.m.
