OVC All-Tournament Team
MARION, Ill. – Freshman outfielder
Michael Brewer was selected to the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference All-Tournament team, the league announced on Saturday at the conclusion of the this season's tournament.

Brewer led all players in the tournament with a .533 batting average. He tied for the lead with two stolen bases, had the second best on-base percentage (.611), tied for third in RBIs (6) and tied for fourth in hits (8).

In EKU's opening round 4-1 win over No. 3 seed Morehead State, Brewer went 1-for-4 and scored a key ninth inning run. In game two against No. 2 Austin Peay, the Fort Wayne, Indiana native went 2-for-3 with two walks, a double, three RBIs and as stolen base. His two-run double keyed a three-run seventh inning that got the Colonels back in the game, cutting the Governor lead to 8-6.

Brewer finished 4-for-5 with two runs, three RBIs and a stolen base in Eastern's 15-8 elimination game victory over No. 4 seed Belmont. After the Bruins grabbed a 4-3 lead, Brewer's third inning, two-out, two-run single to right gave the Colonels a lead they would never relinquish.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Brewer went 1-for-3 with a walk in EKU's second elimination game on Friday, an 11-3 loss to No. 3 Morehead State.

Fellow freshman
Logan Thomason did not earn OVC All-Tournament recognition but put together an outstanding four-game performance himself. The shortstop from Richmond, Kentucky led all players with six runs scored, tied for first with a 1.000 slugging percentage, was second with two home runs, tied for second with four walks, tied for third with a .600 on-base percentage, was sixth with seven hits and ranked ninth with a .467 batting average.
