RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team hosted Miami (Ohio) in its final preseason exhibition on Sunday afternoon.
 
The Colonels fell to the RedHawks, 4-0.
 
Miami took a commanding lead early, scoring goals in the 13^th and 14^th minutes. The RedHawks added second-half insurance goals in the 69^th and 88^th minutes.
 
Twenty-one Colonels were able to see valuable minutes during the exhibition.
 
Miami outshot EKU, 14-9, on the day. Senior Rachele Manfre, junior Taran McMillan and freshman Maddy Lemery all put shots on frame for the Colonels.
 
The Colonels open the regular season this Thursday, August 22, on the road at Ohio University. First touch from Athens is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
