CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Eastern Kentucky University men's basketball team will look to stay undefeated when the Colonels travel to play Xavier on Monday night. Tip from the Cintas Center is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

WHAT TO KNOW
EKU (2-0) opened the season by winning both of its games at the Mako Medical Wolfpack Invitational last week in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Colonels defeated North Florida, 80-67, in the opener on Wednesday, and then followed that up with a 60-50 win over Charleston Southern on Friday.
Junior
Tre King led Eastern in scoring in both games. The 6-9 forward is averaging 15 points and 9 rebounds-per-game so far this season.
Freshman guard
Wendell Green Jr. is averaging 10.5 points and 5 assists-per-game.
EKU forced 46 turnovers in its two games in Raleigh.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Xavier (3-0) defeated Oakland, Bradley and Toledo in consecutive days to open the season.
Zach Freemantle (16.3 points-per-game) and KyKy Tandy (15.3 points-per-game) lead the Musketeers in scoring.
This is the 19
th meeting between EKU and Xavier. The Musketeers lead the series, 13-5. The last meeting came on December 15, 2018, a 95-77 Xavier victory. Eastern's last win over Xavier came in 1954.
