RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's women's basketball team hits the road to take on its third top-25 team of the year at Northwestern University on Tuesday.
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- This will be the first all-time meeting between the two teams.
 
THE COLONELS
-  Eastern comes in at 3-2 (2-0 OVC), and winners of its last three, after defeating Chattanooga, 62-45, Friday in Chattanooga.  
 
-  Jayla Johnson led the way for the Colonels posting a team-best 18 points and seven rebounds in the win. Johnson scored 11 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter.  
 
-  Emma Hacker provided a big spark off the bench in the first quarter, chipping in eight points and a career-best five rebounds in the win against the Mocs.
 
-  EKU out-scored the Mocs 27-8 off the bench.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Northwestern comes into the contest, 3-0 and ranked No. 16 in the country, after knocking off Purdue, 70-54, in West Lafayette on Thursday.
 
-  Veronica Burton leads the way for the Wildcats averaging a team-high 22.7 points and 6.3 assists per game on the season.  
 
-  Four Wildcats posted double-digit points in the win against Purdue.
 
-  Northwestern ranks second in the country in turnover margin.
