EKU Volleyball Adds Junior College Transfer

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team welcomed new member Maddy Campbell to the team on Tuesday, head coach Johnna Bazzani announced.
 
"We are very excited to announce the signing of transfer Maddy Campbell," Bazzani said. "From the time she arrived on campus, I knew she was a perfect fit for our program."
 
Campbell is a 6-foot middle for Dunedin, New Zealand. Campbell comes from Eastern Florida State College where she was named Mid-Florida All Conference second team as a freshman and sophomore. As a sophomore Campbell averaged 1.48 kills per set with a .295 hitting percentage. Campbell's .295 hitting percentage ranked first on the team.
 
Campbell finished second on the team with 36 blocks on the season. Her .52 blocks per set ranked second on the team.
 
"Maddy is a very quick and dynamic player, who is offensively and defensively sound, and going to raise the competition in our gym this upcoming season" Bazzani said. "Welcome to the family Maddy! Go Big E!"
