Emilee Hill Earns Honorable Mention All-America Honors

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University junior setter Emilee Hill earned honorable mention All-America recognition from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Wednesday.

Hill, who was chosen as the Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year and first team All-ASUN in November, is the first Colonel to receive national recognition since Liz Guard received Honorable Mention All-America honors in 2005.

The Yorktown, Indiana native averaged 2.62 kills, 5.89 assists, 3.16 digs, 0.51 blocks and 0.22 aces per set with a .254 attack percentage.

Hill had 10 triple-doubles this season, no other ASUN player had any triple-doubles.  She was the only player in the ASUN to average more than 5.7 assists, 3.0 digs, 2.0 kills and 0.40 blocks per set.  Hill was a 2-time ASUN Player of the Week and ranked ninth in ASUN in assists per set.

EKU (22-9) tied for second in the Atlantic Sun Conference standings this season and advanced to the ASUN Tournament championship match.   The Colonels have won 20 or more matches in three straight seasons, the first time the program has accomplished that since 2003-05.
