A.J. Lewis hit a grand slam and drove in five runs in Eastern's 11-8 victory over Siena College on Saturday at Earle Combs Stadium.

Lewis finished 3-for-4 with a walk, three runs and five RBIs. With EKU (6-2) leading 4-2, the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning, Lewis sent the first pitch he saw over the wall in center field for his second home run of the season.

The Colonels had a 9-4 lead before Siena climbed back into the game with four runs in the top of the seventh. Jonathan Crimmin's pinch-hit, two-run double down the left field line scored the final two runs of the inning and made it a 9-8 game.

Charlie Ludwick provided some insurance for Eastern Kentucky in the bottom of the eighth when he drove in two with a two-out triple to right center.

Nick Howie went 3-for-5 with two runs scored for the Colonels.Â
Chance Bodine was 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored.Â
Jacob Ferris (1-1) started for Eastern and pitched 6-plus innings. He allowed six runs, five of which were earned, on six hits. The sophomore walked two and tied his career-best with nine strike outs.

Nick Laster earned his first save after tossing the final one and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and striking out two.

Jake Hall had a 2-for-4 day with three RBIs for Siena (0-10).

The two teams will conclude their four-game series with a doubleheader on Sunday starting at 10 a.m. Game one of the twin bill will air live on ESPN+.
