This week, the tour stops at the EKU football locker room.

Football Locker RoomThe new locker room opened in September of 2017 as part of the expansion project on the east side of Roy Kidd Stadium.  The entire first floor is dedicated to the benefit of Colonel football student-athletes and includes a team locker room featuring a team lounge, equipment room and a game day training area.

The facility is dedicated in honor of the 1967 Grantland Rice Bowl championship team.  It was this team that ignited Eastern Kentucky University's football championship tradition.  A $250,000 donation from a member of the 1967 championship team, Ted Green, helps remember those pioneers and helps pave the way for future gridiron success at Eastern.

A players' lounge is connected to the locker room.  The lounge includes televisions, video game consoles, a ping pong table, pool table and pop-a-shot.  Enhancements to the players' lounge were made possible by a generous gift from former Colonel All-American Ernie House.
