EKU Women's Basketball Set To Host Southeast Missouri On Saturday

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's women's basketball team welcomes in last year's Ohio Valley Conference tournament champion Southeast Missouri State to McBrayer Arena on Saturday.

Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.

All seating for Saturday's women's basketball game will be free. Fans are reminded to follow arena staff direction and signage regarding social distancing policies.

INSIDE THE SERIES

THE COLONELS
-  Eastern comes in at 6-7 (5-4 OVC), after falling to UT Martin, 65-39, Thursday night at McBrayer Arena. 
 
-  Jayla Johnson led the way for the Colonels scoring a team-best 11 points and three rebounds.
 
-  The Colonels held the Skyhawks to 39 percent shooting on the night.
 
-  EKU ranks 2nd in OVC play in three-point field goal percentage defense.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  SEMO comes into the contest at 7-5 (5-2 OVC), after falling to Morehead State, 58-57, on Thursday in Morehead.
 
-  The Redhawks are led by senior guard Tesia Thompson who is averaging 19.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game on the season.
 
-  SEMO out-rebounded Morehead State 50-38 on Thursday.
 
-  The Redhawks rank 3rd in OVC play in scoring margin on the year.
