With the first set tied 17-17, Lipscomb (8-8, 5-1 ASUN) rolled off a 5-1 run to go up four, 22-18.  The Colonels came back, scoring three straight.  Reilly Lowe got it started with a kill.  After a Lipscomb error, Michalak put down a kill to make it a one-point set, 22-21.  The Bisons reached set-point on a kill by Anna Aubele before another Michalak kill kept EKU within one, 24-23.  However, Meg Mersman ended it on the next series in favor of the home team.

Lipscomb scored the first two points of the second set and, with the exception of a brief 2-2 tie, led the whole way.  A kill from Delaney Dilfer made it a 14-6 set.  Eastern Kentucky never got closer than six the rest of the set as the Bisons rolled to a 25-18 win.

EKU (6-15, 3-4 ASUN) fell behind 5-2 early in the third set before going on a 12-2 run.  A kill by Mitchell and an ace from Schoen capped it and put the visitors on top 14-7.  A kill from Michalak stretched it to an eight-point lead, 20-12.  A kill by Mitchell ended the set, 25-18, and kept Eastern Kentucky alive.

Eastern Kentucky will play at new ASUN Conference rival Bellarmine on Saturday at 1 p.m.
