EKU Soccer Falls To No. 1 Seed Lipscomb In The Semifinals Of ASUN Conference Tournament

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team fell to No. 1 seed Lipscomb in the semifinals of the ASUN Conference Tournament, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon in Nashville.  
 
The two teams played an even first 45 minutes and the match went into the half tied, 0-0.   
 
EKU (9-10) was the aggressor in the first half and out-shot the Bisons 10-4 in the first half. The Colonels had four shots on goal.
 
Lipscomb got on the board in the 51st minute on a goal by Molly Grant.
 
The Bisons scored two more goals in the second half to extend the lead.
 
Lipscomb out-shot the Colonels 15-12 on the contest. The Bison had seven shots on goal compared to the Colonels four.
 
The Colonels finish the season in the semifinals of the conference tournament for the first-time since 2018.
