Gameday Information For Saturday vs. Abilene Christian

RICHMOND, Ky. – This week, the Colonels host their fourth and final home game of the current home stand. EKU faces Abilene Christian for a Saturday kickoff at 6:00 p.m. for its last night game of the season. Saturday is also Youth Sports Day, in which all youth teams are encouraged to attend and participate in the game day experience.

Youth Sports Day will begin pre-game with our Colonel Courtyard space opening at 3:00 p.m. that will include multiple inflatables and yard games before kickoff. All youth sports kids can receive a complimentary ticket and discounted tickets for family by visiting this link. At halftime, all kids are encouraged to meet at the bottom of the hill and run out through the team entrance as the team does.

Saturday's game will be the first ASUN/WAC Challenge (conference) game of the season for EKU. In addition, with an evening kickoff, the light shows will return to light up Roy Kidd Stadium maroon!

The game day experience begins Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. when all parking and tailgate lots open. The Colonel Courtyard will once again be a featured location in the tailgate lot in between the Alumni Coliseum lot and Roy Kidd Stadium. This space opens at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and will feature live music by Emma Zinck and Nick Haynes, band and spirit squad performances, an autograph session with EKU soccer, food trucks, inflatables, and more.

Tomorrow's game will feature the EKU Libraries. They will be featured within different elements of the game day experience tomorrow.

While you are inside Roy Kidd Stadium, don't forget to enjoy the variety of concessions offered by EKU Dining Services and Aramark. This weekend's feature item of the game is a smoked brisket sandwich. This item can be purchased at the central concession location inside the main concourse. New items for 2021 also include a ribeye steak sandwich and a polish sausage.

You can round out your EKU athletics experience this weekend by also attending the EKU soccer match this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the EKU Soccer Field.

Please note that the stadium light show will be played after EKU scores, between quarters, and other crucial moments during the game. A graphic will be shown on the video board before the light show begins and light show announcements will be read over the public address system throughout the game.
