- This is the first ever meeting between the two teams.
 
THE COLONELS
-  The Colonels (2-3) fell at home last Saturday against Xavier out of the Big East, 73-60.
 
-  Jayla Johnson led the way offensively for the Colonels with 17 points in the win against the Musketeers. She is averaging a team-best 14.8 points per game on the season.   
 
-  Ariel Kirkwood ranks ninth in the country in blocks per game which ranks first in the ASUN conference. She ranks second in the conference in total blocks with 15.
 
-  Alice Recanati has been one of the best players in the country on the defensive side. She ranks 16th in the country in steals per game which ranks first in the ASUN. Her 17 steals on the season are 55th in the country and second in the conference.
 
-  The Colonels rank 10th in the country in offensive rebounding.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Illinois comes into the contest at 3-4 and losers of its last three games after falling to Florida State, 67-58, on Thursday night in Champaign.   
 
-  The Fighting Illini are led offensively by Aaliyah Nye who is averaging a team-best 12.9 points per game.      
 
-  Illinois ranks 54th in the country in blocked shots per game.
 
-  Kendall Bostic ranks 30th in the country and third in the Big Ten in rebounds per game. She is averaging 10 boards a contest.
