RICHMOND, Ky. –
Eastern Kentucky University's women's basketball team returns home to take on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on Thursday morning for Education Day.
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 11 a.m. ET.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- This is the fifth all-time meeting between the two teams.
 
- The Colonels beat the Mocs last year in Chattanooga, 62-45.
 
- EKU leads the all-time series 3-1.
 
THE COLONELS
-  The Colonels (2-4) fell on the road at the University of Illinois on Sunday, 71-57.
 
-  Jayla Johnson led the way offensively for the Colonels with 20 points and seven rebounds against the Fighting Illini on Sunday. Johnson is averaging a team-best 15.7 points per game.
 
-  Ariel Kirkwood continues to fill up the stat sheet posting 10 points, seven rebounds, five steals, and four assists against Illinois.  
 
-  Alice Recanati ranks first in the conference in steals per game and second in the league in overall steals.
 
-  The Colonels rank third in the country in offensive rebounding.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Chattanooga comes into the contest at 1-8 and losers of its last six games after falling to Alabama, 80-64, on Sunday.
 
-  The Mocs are led offensively by Abbey Cornelius who is averaging a team-best 15.3 points per game.      
 
-  Cornelius ranks 26th in the country in rebounding.
 
-  Chattanooga ranks 38th in the country in free throws made.
