EKU Softball Hits The Road For A Midweek Tilt Against Miami (Ohio) On Wednesday

RICHMOND, Ky. – 
The Eastern Kentucky University softball team hits the road for a midweek tilt against Miami (Ohio) on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The two teams will now play one game with first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m.

Inside the Series                                                                                                                   
-Miami (Ohio) comes into the contest at 16-6 (8-0 MAC) and winners of its last 10 games after sweeping Central Michigan in a four-game series over the weekend. Miami (Ohio) comes into the contest receiving votes in the top-25.
 
-The Redhawks lead the all-time series between the two teams, 10-7.
 
-Miami (Ohio) brings a high-powered offense into the contest led by Allie Cummins. Cummins is hitting .455 with 10 doubles, six home runs and 20 RBIs on the year. Kate Kobayashi is hitting .412 with four double, three triples, four home runs and 14 RBIs.
 
-Brianna Pratt leads the way in the circle for the Redhawks with a 5-3 record and a 2.55 ERA.
 
What EKU Brings:
-EKU comes into the weekend at 18-7 (10-4 OVC) after taking two-of-three against UT Martin over the weekend in Martin.
 
-Sammi Miller and Carly Robinson pace the Colonel offense. Miller has a team-best .416 batting average, with six doubles, three triples, three home runs and 14 RBIs. Robinson is hitting .370 with three doubles, a team-high six home runs and 24 RBIs.
 
-Tori Peterson leads the way in the circle for the Colonels with an 8-1 record a 2.08 ERA. Peterson is 6-1 with a 0.85 ERA in OVC play.
 
-The Colonels currently rank 36th in the nation in doubles and 73rd overall in doubles per game. Both of those rank third in the OVC.  
 
-Sammi Miller ranks 17th in the country in triples.
