RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University softball team continues its road swing with a three-game series against conference foe Belmont over the weekend.
 
The two teams will play a doubleheader on Friday with a single game on Saturday. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday with game two following 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. First pitch on Saturday is scheduled for 2 p.m.

-Belmont comes into the weekend at 8-15 (4-10 OVC) after getting swept by Austin Peay last weekend.
 
-The Colonels lead the all-time series between the two teams, 18-3.
 
-Cheyenne Cavanaugh leads the Bruin offense with a team-best .361 batting average, four doubles, two triples and 10 RBIs.
 
-Autumn McDanel leads the way in the circle for Belmont. McDanel is 3-2 with a 3.23 ERA on the season.  
 
What EKU Brings:
-EKU comes into the weekend at 18-9 (10-4 OVC) after falling to Miami (Ohio) on Wednesday in the midweek.
 
-Sammi Miller and Carly Robinson pace the Colonel offense. Miller has a team-best .418 batting average, with six doubles, three triples, three home runs and 14 RBIs. Robinson is hitting .351 with three doubles, a team-high six home runs and 24 RBIs.
 
-Tori Peterson leads the way in the circle for the Colonels with an 8-2 record and a 2.41 ERA. Peterson is 6-1 with a 0.85 ERA in OVC play.
 
-The Colonels currently rank 32nd in the nation in doubles which is second in the OVC.
 
-Sammi Miller ranks 19th in the country in triples.
