RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University softball team welcomes in Tennessee Tech for a three-game series starting on Sunday at Gertrude Hood Field.  Â

The two teams were originally supposed to start its three-game series on Saturday, but with poor weather expected in the area on Saturday the series has been pushed back a day. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Sunday with first pitch at 2 p.m. Game two will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. The series finale will be on Monday with a 2 p.m. first pitch.

Jane Worthington bobbleheads handed out at Sunday's doubleheader while supplies last.

-Tennessee Tech comes into the weekend at 18-21 (12-12 OVC) after splitting a doubleheader against Jacksonville State on Tuesday.

-TTU leads the all-time series between the two teams, 56-43.

-Beth McCulley leads the way offensively for the Golden Eagles with a team-high .315 batting average on the season. McCulley has five doubles and 12 RBIs on the year.

-Haeli Bryson and Alyssa Arden pace the Tennessee Tech pitching staff. Bryson is 8-5 on the year with a 2.67 ERA. Arden is 9-12 on the season with a team-best 88 strikeouts on the year. Â

-EKU comes into the weekend at 27-11 (18-5 OVC) and first in the OVC standings after taking two-of-three against then first place Southeast Missouri State

Carly Robinson pace the Colonel offense. Miller has a team-best .443 batting average, with 11 doubles, three triples, four home runs and 20 RBIs. Robinson is hitting .333 with five doubles, a team-high seven home runs and 28 RBIs.

Tori Peterson and
Mollie Paulick lead the way in the circle for the Colonels. Peterson is 13-3 on the season with a 2.09 ERA. Peterson leads the OVC in wins on the season with 10. Paulick is 8-0 with a team-best 1.53 ERA with 55 innings pitched.

-The Colonels currently rank 37th in the nation in doubles which is second in the OVC.
