RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University softball team returns home to take on Tennessee State University in a three-game series starting on Sunday.

The two teams were supposed to start its three-game series on Saturday, but with poor weather coming into the area the two teams will open the series on Sunday. Game three of the series is scheduled for Monday. First pitch on Sunday is scheduled for 1 p.m. with game two following 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Monday's contest will start at 1 p.m.

-Tennessee State comes into the weekend at 8-19 (4-15 OVC) after falling to rival Belmont University on Wednesday in the midweek.

Carly Robinson pace the Colonel offense. Miller has a team-best .409 batting average, with eight doubles, three triples, three home runs and 14 RBIs. Robinson is hitting .377 with four doubles, a team-high seven home runs and 27 RBIs.

Tori Peterson leads the way in the circle for the Colonels with an 11-2 record and a 2.06 ERA. Peterson is 8-1 with a 1.03 ERA in OVC play. Peterson tossed a complete game shutout against the Hilltoppers on Wednesday.
