RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University softball team comes into the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament as the No. 2 seed and will take on the No. 3 seed Austin Peay in the first round on Thursday in Oxford, Alabama.

First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.

The winner of the game will move on to the semifinals on Friday at 11 a.m. ET. The loser falls to the elimination part of the bracket at 3 p.m. on Friday. The No. 1 seed Southeast Missouri State will take on the No. 4 seed Jacksonville State in the other contest.

-Austin Peay comes into the weekend at 27-14 (22-11 OVC) and winners of its last four games after sweeping a doubleheader against the Colonels last weekend.

Carly Robinson pace the Colonel offense. Miller has a team-best .426 batting average, with 13 doubles, three triples, four home runs and 23 RBIs. Robinson is hitting .322 with six doubles, a team-high eight home runs and 37 RBIs.

-Miller ranks second in the OVC in batting average, first in the OVC in hits and runs scored. She ranks second in doubles, fourth in triples and top-10 in stolen bases.

Tori Peterson and
Mollie Paulick lead the way in the circle for the Colonels. Peterson is 16-5 on the season with a 2.27 ERA. Peterson is second in OVC play with 12 wins on the year. Paulick is 10-1 with a team-best 1.79 ERA with 72 strikeouts.
