RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team continues its three-game road swing with trips to Milwaukee and Northern Illinois this weekend.
 
The Colonels travel to Horizon League favorite Milwaukee on Friday night before wrapping up the three-game road swing against Northern Illinois on Sunday. Friday's match starts at 8 p.m. while Sunday's contest starts at 2 p.m.
 
 
WHAT TO KNOW
 
EKU enters the week 1-1-0 after splitting a pair of matches last week. The Colonels knocked off IUPUI, 4-3, in OT before falling to in-state rival Northern Kentucky, 2-1, in OT.
 
The Colonels bring in a balanced offensive attack with five different players having scored one goal this year.
 
Junior Ali Kirk played all 188 minutes last week leading the defense for the Colonels. Kirk also scored one of the five goals last week in a win over IUPUI.
 
Myla Sharpless chipped in two points with two assists.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
 
Milwaukee comes in at 2-0 on the year after cruising to victories over Northern Illinois and Western Illinois last week.
 
The Panthers have outscored their opponents 12-0.
 
Seven different players have found the back of the net this year for the Panthers. Mackenzie Schill leads the way with three goals. Natalie Aubie has two goals and three assists.
 
NIU (1-1-0) split a pair of matches last week losing to Milwaukee before knocking off Indiana State, 2-1, in overtime.
 
Haley Hoppe leads the offensive charge for the Huskies with four points and two goals on the year.
 
Kali Stock has two points with two assists on the season.
