RICHMOND, Ky. –
The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team hits the road this weekend when they travel to Florida to open ASUN play at Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson
 
The Colonels take on Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday night at 7 p.m. and take on the Stetson Hatters at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

WHAT TO KNOW
 
EKU enters the week 4-4-0 after falling to Miami (OH), 2-0, last Friday in Richmond.
 
The Colonels rank fourth in the ASUN in goals on the season.
 
Michaela Iacono leads the offensive charge for the Colonels with two goals and four assists. Her four assists' rank tied for first in the conference.
 
Freshman goalkeeper Marah Krick ranks second in the conference in saves on the season with 39.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
 
Florida Gulf Coast comes into the week at 3-5 after falling to South Florida, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon.
 
Ashley Labbe and Zoey Spitzer each lead the team with four points. Labbe has one goal and two assists and Spitzer has two goals.
 
Katie Sullivan is the lead goalkeeper for the Eagles. Sullivan has posted a 2-3 record with 25 saves on the year.
 
Stetson comes into the weekend at 3-5-1 and hosts Bellarmine on Thursday.
 
The Hatters are led offensively by Kyleigh Thelen who has a team-best two assists, two goals, and six points.
 
Ashleigh Wise leads the way in goal for Stetson. Wise has a 3-3-1 record with 29 saves on the season.
 
UP NEXT
 
Eastern Kentucky returns home to start a four-match homestand starting next Thursday when the Colonels welcome in Jacksonville University. The match starts at 4 p.m.
