RICHMOND, Ky. –
The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team welcomes in-state rival Kentucky to Richmond on Thursday before traveling to take on Wright State on Sunday.
 
The Colonels take on Kentucky at 4 p.m. on Thursday. The match on Sunday against Wright State starts at 1 p.m.

WHAT TO KNOW
 
EKU enters the week 3-2-0 after knocking off previously unbeaten Ohio University, 3-1, on Sunday afternoon in Richmond.
 
Three different Colonels scored goals in the win against the Bobcats.
 
Mica Iacono had one goal and one assist in the win against the Bobcats on Sunday afternoon. It was the first goal Ohio had allowed all season.
 
Freshman goalkeeper Marah Krick held the Bobcats to one goal and made six saves in the win.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
 
Kentucky comes in at 3-1-2 on the year after knocking off Oakland University, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon in Lexington.
 
Jordyn Rhodes and Hannah Richardson lead the offensive charge for the Wildcats with five goals each on the season.
 
Laura Nielsen has been a part of three shutouts so far this year. Allowing four goals with 35 saves.
 
Wright State (2-2-1) split a pair of matches last week knocking off Akron, before falling to UT Martin, 4-1, on Sunday.
 
Olga Massombo and Destiny Johnson lead the team with two goals each.
 
Jessika Seward leads the way in goal for the Raiders with 22 saves on the year.

Eastern Kentucky returns home to wrap up the non-conference portion of the schedule next Friday when the Colonels welcome in Miami (OH). The match starts at 4 p.m.
