RICHMOND, Ky. –
Eastern Kentucky University's women's basketball team takes its five-game winning streak on the road on Wednesday night to take on North Alabama.
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- This is the first ever meeting between the two teams.
 
THE COLONELS
-  The Colonels (9-6, 2-0 ASUN) pushed their winning streak to five games, its longest since the 2013-14 season after knocking off Bellarmine, 61-47, on Saturday afternoon in Louisville.
 
-  Alice Recanati and Jayla Johnson led the way for the Colonels offensively against the Knights. Recanati posted a team-high 17 points and had four assists in the win against Bellarmine. Johnson chipped in 16 points and six assists.
 
-  I'Liyah Green posted her first double-double of the season posting 11 points and 11 rebounds in the win over Bellarmine on Saturday.
 
-  Recanati ranks first in the conference in steals and second in the ASUN in steals per game. Recanati ranks 39th in the country in steals.
 
-  The Colonels rank 20th in the country in overall steals and 41st in steals per game.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
-  North Alabama comes into the weekend at 5-8, 0-1 ASUN and losers of its last three games after falling to Jacksonville State, 73-69, on Saturday night in Florence.
 
-  Hina Suzuki lead the way for the Lions posting 22 points and six assists against Jacksonville State on Saturday.  
 
-  Three Lions scored in double-figures against Jacksonville State.
 
-  Julia Strachan leads the way for the Lions offensively averaging a team-best 14 points on the season.

Eastern Kentucky returns home on Saturday to take on Jacksonville State at McBrayer Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
