Homestand Continues When EKU Host Lipscomb On Tuesday

RICHMOND, Ky. –
EKU's three-game home stand continues Tuesday when the Colonels host Lipscomb at McBrayer Arena.
 
The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET and will air live on ESPN+.  The live radio broadcast of the game is available in the Richmond area on WCYO 100.7 FM, and can be heard worldwide on EKUSports.com.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  This is the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
 
THE COLONELS
-  Eastern Kentucky is 8-10 overall and 0-4 in the ASUN Conference.  The Colonels fell to Jacksonville State, 76-65, on Saturday.
 
-  Braxton Beverly led EKU and scored a season-best 18 points against Jacksonville State on Saturday.
 
-  EKU leads the ASUN, and is third in the nation, with 11.11 steals per game.  Lipscomb is last in the ASUN with 3.95 per game.
 
-  Russhard Cruickshank finished with 10 points against Jacksonville State and has scored in double figures in three straight games.
 
-  EKU is first in the ASUN, and 12th in the country, with an average of 13.83 offensive rebounds per game.
 
-  Four Colonels rank in the top-10 in the ASUN in steals.  Jomaru Brown (1.75) leads the conference, Michael Moreno (1.67) and Cooper Robb (1.67) are tied for second and Beverly (1.47) is ninth.
 
-  The Colonels are ranked fourth in the nation in turnovers forced (19.06) and fourth in turnover margin (+6.17).
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Lipscomb is 8-11 this season and 1-3 against ASUN teams.  The Bisons have lost three straight since starting league play with an 84-74 win at home over North Alabama.   
 
-  Lipscomb suffered a 77-71 loss at home to Bellarmine on Saturday.  Will Pruitt led the way with 21 points and eight rebounds.  KJ Johnson added 16 points and seven assists.  The Bisons shot 54 percent from the field for the game, making 21-of-28 (75 percent) from inside the 3-point line and going 6-for-22 (27 percent) from behind it.
 
-  Ahsan Asadullah is the team's leading scorer (17.5 ppg) and leading rebounder (8.4 rpg).  The 6-foot-9, 275-pound junior center has shot 56 percent from the field this season.  Asadullah has been chosen as the ASUN Player of the Week four times.
 
-  Jacob Ognacevic, a 6-foot-7, 220-pound freshman forward is contributing 16.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, and leads the team with 11 blocks.  Johnson, a 6-foot-3 sophomore guard, is averaging 8.5 points and a team-best 4.1 assists per game.
 
-  As a team, Lipscomb averages 76 points and has allowed 80 per game this season.  The Bisons are hitting on 48 percent of their shots from the field, third-best in the conference, while allowing opponents to shoot 44 percent.
 
-   Lipscomb is committing 5.2 more turnovers per game than its opponents, 12th in the ASUN, and allowing 8.5 steals per contest.
