EKU Women's Basketball Gears Up To Take On No. 21 Florida Gulf Coast On Thursday Night

Eastern Kentucky University's women's basketball team hits the road to take on No. 21 Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday night.
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

THE COLONELS
-  The Colonels (10-9, 3-3 ASUN) fell to North Florida, 78-64, on Saturday night at McBrayer Arena.
 
-  Alice Recanati led the way against the Ospreys with a team-high 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists.
 
-  Four different Colonels scored in double-figures against North Florida.
 
-  Recanati ranks first in the ASUN in steals and fourth in the league in steals per game. She ranks 52nd in the country in overall steals.  
 
-  The Colonels rank fifth in the country in made free throws.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
-  Florida Gulf Coast comes into the week at 17-7 and 6-0 in the ASUN, and winners of its last 10 games after knocking off Jacksonville State, 66-44, on Saturday afternoon in Jacksonville.
 
-  The Eagles are led offensively by Kierstan Bell who is averaging 23.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game on the season.
 
-  FGCU ranks first in the country in three-point field goals made.
 
-  Bell ranks fifth in the country in points per game on the year.
