RICHMOND, Ky. – EKU begins its first of back-to-back home game weekends this Saturday. The Colonels will host the Bearkats of Sam Houston at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow at CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium.

The matchup marks the first time since 2008 in which an FBS transitioning opponent comes to CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium. Fans can purchase tickets by clicking here.

The weekend is highlighted by a day of full activities prior to and during the football game.

Saturday's game is the annual Paint the Town Pink game presented by Baptist Health Richmond. EKU Athletics will be giving out 5,000 pink rally towels to paint CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium pink during the game. There will also be several in-game and tailgate experiences that will center around cancer awareness and support of those affected by cancer. The marquee activation will be "I STAND FOR" signs in which fans can write in who they stand for to show their support for those individuals who have been affected by cancer. These signs can be picked up in the Colonel Courtyard outside the stadium where fans can take pictures with these signs or in concourses throughout the stadium. The presentation to stand and raise these signs will occur at the beginning of halftime.

The game day experience begins Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. when all parking and tailgate lots open for the general public. The Colonel Courtyard will be open and available free of charge to the public as a highlighted piece of the tailgate atmosphere. The area will be a featured location in the tailgate lot in between the Alumni Coliseum lot and CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium. The Courtyard opens at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and will feature DJ Tino Dollars, band and spirit squad performances nearby, "I STAND FOR" sign pickup and photos, food trucks, face painting, inflatables, and more.

Tomorrow's game will feature the College of Health Sciences as the College of the Game. They will be featured in the Colonel Courtyard and tailgate space surrounding, as well as in-game announcements and promotions.

While you are inside CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium, don't forget to enjoy the variety of concessions offered by EKU Dining Services and Aramark. Concessions will run a special on popcorn this weekend for $2. This weekend's featured item of the game is a beer cheese bratwurst served on a pretzel bun with bacon bits and fried onion straws on top. This item can be purchased at the grill location just outside the main concourse and the middle concession stand. Additional new and featured items include the return of the ribeye sandwich and the beast burger.

EKU Athletics will also continue to host a family zone located above the hill behind the cannon with inflatables for kids inside the stadium, while providing access to view the game for families.

Please note that the stadium light show will be played after EKU scores, between quarters, and other crucial moments during the game. A graphic will be shown on the video board before the light show begins and light show announcements will be read over the public address system throughout the game.
