LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky cross country teams travel to Louisville for the second time this season to compete in the NCAA Southeast Regional at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park on Friday, Nov. 11. The women will run in the 6K race at 11:00 am while the men compete in the 10K race at 12:00 pm.
The men dominated at the ASUN Cross Country Championships as they won their first ASUN championship with 18 points. Graduate student
Ahmed Jaziri led the Colonels to his third consecutive individual men's conference title (1 OVC, 2 ASUN). The men moved up to No. 6 in the latest U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Region Rankings while receiving votes in the National Coaches Poll for the first time this season.

Joan Tapias, seniors Hakim Abouzouhir,
Nikodem Dworczak,
Enock Kipchumba,
Jackson Siddall, and
Keeton Thornsberry.
Graduate student Jone Zabaleta Larranaga led the women to a bronze medal at the ASUN Cross Country Championships posting a 5K time of 16:45.40 to finish in fourth place. The women are ranked No. 15 in the latest USTFCCCA Southeast Region Rankings.
