INDIANAPOLIS – Eastern Kentucky University's
Edna Chelulei of the women's cross-country team will run at the NCAA National Championships in Columbia, Missouri, on November 22, as announced on the live NCAA Selection Show on Saturday evening.
Chelulei earns the at-large selection after putting together a stellar All-Region performance on Friday in Charlottesville, finishing 11
th individually in a time of 19:47.0.
She will be the first female Colonel to run at the National Championships since EKU made it as a team in 2017.
The ASUN Female Freshman Runner of the Year adds the historic note after her top-15 finish at Regionals was the first for the program since 2018, when Lilian Koborus finished 10th.
Chelulei also became the first female All-Region runner at EKU since Laura Tabora in 2021.
