RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky women's basketball earned its largest margin of victory on the season on Tuesday night over Union College as the Colonels defeated the Lady Bulldogs 103-48 inside Baptist Health Arena.
With the win, EKU moves to 6-6 (.500) on the season with one non-conference game remaining against Alice Lloyd College on Thursday, Dec. 29 at 2:00 p.m. ET. The Colonels will then open ASUN play with two home contests against Kennesaw State (Jan. 2) and Stetson (Jan. 5).
The Colonels were led by
Marissa Mackins, who scored a season-high 27 points off eight three-pointers, one shy of the EKU program record.
Antwainette Walker recorded her eighth double-double of the season with 22 points and 13 rebounds against Union, Walker also added a career-high seven steals, her double-double value ranks sixth nationally.
With six rebounds in the win,
Bridgid Fox tallied her 300th career rebound, a milestone reached while accumulating boards with Detroit Mercy and EKU in her now four-year career.
