EKU Women's Basketball Looks To Bounce Back At Home On Thursday Night Against Kennesaw State

RICHMOND, Ky. –
Eastern Kentucky University's women's basketball team looks to bounce back on Thursday night against Kennesaw State at McBrayer Arena.
 
Thursday's game is the first of two straight Faculty & Staff Appreciation Games.  All EKU faculty and staff can claim two free tickets for the game against Kennesaw State and Saturday's game against Liberty.  Additional tickets can be purchased for a discounted rate online. All tickets are digital and can be claimed online.
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- This is the first meeting all-time between the two teams.
 
THE COLONELS
-  The Colonels (10-11, 3-5 ASUN) fell on the road at Stetson, 70-52, on Saturday afternoon in DeLand.  
 
Emma Hacker led the way for the Colonels with 14 points and nine rebounds off the bench against the Hatters.  
 
-  Alice Recanati ranks second in the ASUN in steals and sixth in the league in steals per game. She ranks 75th in the country in overall steals.  
 
-  The Colonels rank seventh in the country in made free throws.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
-  Kennesaw State comes into the week at 6-12, 2-5 in the ASUN, after knocking off North Alabama, 63-50, in Kennesaw on Saturday.
 
-  The Owls are led offensively by Amani Johnson and Alexis Poole. Johnson is averaging a team-best 12.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Poole is averaging 11.7 points and a team-best 6.2 boards per game on the year.
 
-  Johnson is 53rd in the country in total assists.
 
-  The Owls are averaging 61 points per game on the year.
