RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's women's basketball team returns home to take on the University of North Alabama on Thursday night.
 
Our team is taking part in the Play4Kay Free Throw Challenge for the entire month of February. "The vision of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund is to be the premier non-profit organization dedicated to supporting innovative ways of fighting ALL cancers affecting women and providing support through giving strength, courage, and hope. 
Battling stage IV cancer, Hall of Fame coach, Kay Yow, gave her final and lasting gift — the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. In the 13 years since its inception, the Fund has served as a catalyst, uniting communities in the fight against cancer." 
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.

-  Alice Recanati ranks second in the ASUN in steals and sixth in the league in steals per game.  
 
-  The Colonels rank sixth in the country in made free throws.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
-  North Alabama comes into the weekend at 11-13, 6-6 in the ASUN, and winners of its last two games after knocking off Lipscomb, 76-68, on Monday night.
 
-  The Lions are led offensively by Julia Strachan who is averaging a team-best 12.7 points per game on the season.
 
-  UNA has seven players averaging eight or more points on the year.
 
-  North Alabama is averaging 70.2 points per game on the season.
