RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky head football coach Walt Wells announced the hiring of Emily Muse as EKU's Director of Football Recruiting Operations and other staff additions on Friday.

Muse previously worked as a Recruiting and Operations Assistant for Appalachian State football, where she also served as Game Day Coordinator.

"I'm excited to join the EKU family and to be a part of growing the EKU legacy," said Muse. "I want to thank Coach Wells and the entire football staff for giving me the opportunity to take on this role and I'm excited to get started.

Former Colonel defensive lineman Marcus Adams returns to the program as a quality control coach. A third-team All-American in 2001 and three-time All-OVC performer from 2000-02, Adams played seven seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. He will assist with the defensive line.

"It feels good to be back at EKU where I have so many great memories," Adams said. "I'm looking forward to helping get EKU to the top of college football."

On the offensive side, Robbie Bell joins the staff as a quality control coach. Bell started 26 games on the offensive line at Louisville from 2017-20 and was an All-ACC Academic selection for the Cardinals.

Wide receivers coach Caleb Cox and cornerbacks coach Chris Franklin have been tabbed as co-recruiting coordinators. Thomas Bowling has been named Director of Football Operations and Garry McPeek is now Football Chief of Staff.

EKU opens spring practice on April 5 and will hold its annual Maroon & White Game at Roy Kid Stadium at 3:00 p.m. on April 30.
