EKU Softball Travels To Jacksonville For A Three-Game Series This Weekend

RICHMOND, Ky. –
 The Eastern Kentucky University softball team travels to Jacksonville, Florida for a three-game conference series against the Dolphins starting on Saturday.
 
The Colonels open the series against the Dolphins on Saturday at 1 p.m. EKU takes on Jacksonville in game two of the doubleheader at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Kentucky wraps up the weekend series against the Dolphins on Sunday. First-pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
 
Inside the Series                                                                                                                   
- Jacksonville comes into the weekend at 9-14 and 3-0 in the ASUN after sweeping Bellarmine last weekend to open conference play.  
 
-The Dolphins lead the all-time series between the two squads, 2-0. The last meeting between the two teams was in 2010.     
 
-Victoria Rodebaugh leads the way offensively for the Dolphins with a team-best .351 batting average on the season. Rodebaugh has four doubles, one home run, and 13 RBIs on the season.
 
-In the circle for Jacksonville, Skyler Whitty leads the way with a 5-5 record. Whitty has a team-best 37 strikeouts over 68 and two-third innings pitched.
 
What EKU Brings:
-EKU comes into the weekend at 4-22 and 0-3 in the ASUN after getting swept by preseason favorite Liberty over the weekend.
 
-Sammi Miller leads the way offensively for the Colonels with a team-best .366 batting average on the year. Miller has two doubles, one triple, one home run, nine RBIs, and a team-best nine stolen bases on the year.  
 
-The Colonels hit six home runs over the weekend in the three-game series against the Flames. Carly Robinson hit two, while Sammi Miller, Samantha Reynoso, Lou Bowers, and Jeanay Riley each hit one.    
 
-Reynoso leads the way in the circle for EKU. Reynoso has thrown a team-high 66 and two-third innings on the season with a team-best 32 strikeouts.
