RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University softball team is set to host the University of Central Arkansas for a three-game series starting on Friday.
 
The Colonels open the series against the Bears on Friday with a doubleheader. The first game against UCA is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday with game two following about 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. The series finale against Central Arkansas is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday.

- Central Arkansas comes into the weekend at 22-15 and 7-5 in the ASUN after sweeping Bellarmine in a three-game series last weekend in Conway.
 
-These will be the first ever games between the two squads.
 
-Jenna Wilderman leads the way offensively for the Bears with a team-high .402 batting average on the season. Davis has a team-high 47 hits on the season, one double, two triples, six RBIs, and 28 stolen bases.
 
-In the circle for Central Arkansas, Kayla Beaver has been stellar for the Bears with a 13-6 record on the season. Beavers has a 2.53 ERA with 95 strikeouts in 121 and two-third innings pitched.
 
What EKU Brings:
-EKU comes into the weekend at 7-28 and 3-9 in the ASUN after falling in a three-game series to Jacksonville State over the weekend.

Sammi Miller leads the way offensively for the Colonels with a team-best .344 batting average on the year. Miller has three doubles, one triple, one home run, 12 RBIs, and a team-best 14 stolen bases on the year.

Carly Robinson has a team-high seven home runs and 21 RBIs on the season for the Colonels.

Lauren Narvaez comes into the weekend at 3-4 on the season with a team-best 2.62 ERA. Narvaez is second on the team with 69 and one-third innings pitched.
