BOWLING GREEN, Ohio. – EKU football returns to MAC territory this weekend as the Colonels face Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon.

Kickoff is slated 4:00 p.m. on ESPN3 with Jim Barbar serving as the play-by-play announcer and Randy Buffington as the analyst.

A live radio broadcast will also be available in the Richmond area on WCYO 100.7 FM, Greg Stotelmyer and Jim Tirey will be on call.

INSIDE THE SERIES
-  Eastern Kentucky leads the all-time series 3-2. The two teams first met in 1940 when EKU won 48-0 in Richmond.

-  The Colonels won the first three meetings in the series.

-  EKU is 1-2 all-time at Bowling Green and is seeking its first win over the Falcons since 1950.

-  The last meeting in the series came in 2018, when the Falcons rallied late for a 42-35 win.

THE COLONELS
-  EKU is looking to bounce back from a 42-34 loss at Eastern Michigan last Friday.

-  Kicker Patrick Nations converted a 33-yard and 40-yard field goal, as well as all four extra-point attempts, against EMU to earn ASUN Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

-  Quarterback Parker McKinney was named the ASUN Offensive Player of the Week after throwing for 351 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 49 yards rushing and another touchdown on the ground.

-  Tight end Dakota Allen had his finest performance as a pass-catcher on Saturday. Allen set career highs with nine catches and 118 yards against Eastern Michigan, while hauling in two touchdowns.

-  McKinney enters Saturday's contest needing five completions to become EKU's career leader in pass completions. His current mark of 536 trails only TJ Pryor, who completed 540 passes during his Colonel career.

-  McKinney also moved past Josh Greco on EKU's career passing yardage list. His 6,113 career yards put him in second, behind Pryor's record mark of 7,300.

-  EKU's offense put points on the board in four of its final drives against Eastern Michigan, including each of its last three possessions. The Colonels scored 24 points in the second half and took less than three minutes off the clock in each of their final three scoring drives against the Eagles. While EKU did benefit from a fumble on EMU's side of the field for one of its four scoring drives in the second half, three of those marches covered at least 50 yards.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  The Falcons fell in the season opener at UCLA, 45-17.

-  Darren Anders (linebacker) was named to the Butkus Award and Nagurski Trophy watch lists. Anders was a first-team all-MAC performer last season and led the conference with 10.3 tackles per game.

-  Davion Daniels (safety) led the BGSU defense with eight solo tackles against UCLA.

-  Odieu Hiliare (wide receiver) has notched a catch in 23 consecutive games, tied for the 14th-longest active streak in the nation.

-  BGSU blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown last Saturday, marking the first time the Falcons had done so since 2014.
