RICHMOND, Ky. – EKU football is set to celebrate Homecoming on Saturday as the Colonels host Tarleton State University at CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium.
Saturday's game is scheduled to kickoff at 3:02 p.m., tickets are available and going fast, those can be purchased online starting at just $5

Last time out, EKU secured its second consecutive win over North Alabama, 32-22, in the program's first-ever United Athletic Conference (UAC) contest. The Colonels were led by linebacker
Logan Blake, who recorded a career-high 15 tackles which led to his selection as the UAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Offensively, quarterback
Parker McKinney went 14-of-21 from the pocket with 256 passing yards and two touchdowns. He also scored his second rushing touchdown of the season in the win. Leading the run game, junior
Joshua Carter ran for a career-high 138 yards with a touchdown in the second quarter.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Saturday's game in Richmond marks the second meeting between the Colonels and Tarleton State, both have come on EKU's Homecoming.
- The Colonels claimed the first meeting between the two programs during the 2021 season in Richmond where EKU won 20-3 and limited the Texans to just 237 yards of total offense.
THE COLONELS
- EKU is 64-22-2 all-time on Homecoming and is currently on a three-year winning streak on the date. EKU won 24 consecutive Homecoming games from 1974-97.
- Saturday's game marks the second game for EKU inside UAC play. After Tarleton, the Colonels have four UAC games left on the doc against Utah Tech, Austin Peay, Central Arkansas, and Stephen F. Austin.

SCOUTING TARLETON STATE
- Tarleton enters play on Saturday coming off a heartbreaking 27-26 loss to Southern Utah last week. The Texans' last two games have been decided by one point.
- Quarterback Victor Gabalis has a 51 percent completion rate with 1,256 total passing yards and nine touchdowns. Through six games, he's averaging 209 yards from the pocket.
- Like EKU, Tarleton has a split backfield and has two running backs averaging 70 yards per game from the ground. Kayvon Britten leads the room with 436 yards on 87 attempts this season.
- Defensive back Patrick Jones leads the Texans' defensive effort with a team-leading 33 tackles and one interception.
