Soccer Concludes Regular Season with Road Match at Bellarmine

Heads to ASUN Championship Following League Play

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team looks to end its regular season on a high note with a match against an in-state Atlantic Sun Conference foe Bellarmine (4-8-5, 1-6-3 ASUN) on Saturday afternoon at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.

Saturday's match is scheduled to kickoff at 1:00 p.m. ET and can be found on ESPN+ beginning five minutes prior to the start time.

The Colonels (4-8-5, 3-3-4 ASUN) are coming off a 1-1 draw last time out against reigning conference champions FGCU at home. The win secured a berth to the ASUN Championship to be played next Thursday and locked a No. 5-8 seed in the field.

Freshman midfielder Rachel Robinson netted EKU's equalizing goal in the 39th minute against the Eagles, striking an un-savable shot from 22 yards out to find the upper-90 of the frame. The goal was the first of her career and was highlighted on the NCAA's official social media pages.

Through 17 matches the Colonels have found 14 goals from 11 different student-athletes. Forwards Jami Anderson, Ruby Dunlevy, and winger Paula Herranz are tied with the team lead with two goals apiece.

On the defensive side of the field, EKU has found success in its backline play from Kaitlyn Rowlett, Ciana Miller, and Mackenzie Burdick who have combined for 22 games with 90 minutes in the team's last 10 matches. EKU has only allowed four goals in its last six fixtures, including two shutouts against Jacksonville and North Alabama.

EKU keeper Marah Krick has bumped her career-high single season save total to 48 with five saves against FGCU. She's recorded four clean sheets in her last eight matches in net.

After games are concluded on Saturday from across the league EKU will find its seed placement and location for its opening round battle in conference tournament play. The Colonels are scheduled to kick off the championship on Thursday, Oct. 26 at a to be determined site and opponent.
