RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University softball program today announced its 2024 complete competition schedule beginning in the spring with 25 home games, 31 non-conference games, and a 24-game Atlantic Sun Conference slate.

here as part of EKU's 5 Days of Deals holiday promotion. Alongside the EKU Classic, fans can view the Colonels at home against Virginia Tech and Louisville after the New Year.
EKU is scheduled to open its 2024 season on the road from Feb. 8-11 in Spartanburg, S.C. in the Wofford Invitational against Wofford, George Mason, Robert Morris, and two TBA opponents.
The Colonels will then travel to Mobile, Ala. for a five-game tournament with scheduled games against Northern Illinois, Central Michigan (2), South Alabama, and UAB.

Jane Worthington will take the Colonels to her home state and compete in a tournament at Utah Tech against Weber State, Utah State, and Utah Tech from Feb. 24-26.
EKU will return home for its first home stretch of the season hosting the EKU Colonel Classic from March 1-3 with Canisius, Purdue Fort Wayne, and Ball State coming to town. Last season the Colonels went 2-2 against the field with wins over Dayton and Ohio.
The Colonels will continue their 10-game home stand with a midweek tilt against Virginia Tech on Wednesday, March 6 at 6 p.m. and end the stretch hosting a weekend series against Central Connecticut with doubleheaders on March 9 & 10.

here, the Colonels will have midweek matchups against Western Kentucky (March 13), Morehead State (April 10), Miami Ohio (April 23), and Kentucky (April 30) on the road.
The Colonels' latter half of the schedule is highlighted by a clash against Louisville on Tuesday, April 16 at Gertrude Hood Field beginning at 6 p.m.
EKU will set its sights on the ASUN Softball Tournament from May 7-11 in Oxford, Ala. at Choccolocco Park for the first time as a member institution in the league. The top eight teams at the conclusion of regular season play will qualify for the tournament.
