RICHMOND, Ky. – The EKU women's tennis team (4-6) won their third straight match by the score of 5-2 against Tennessee State (0-8) on Saturday at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
The Colonels got off to a hot start, as they won two doubles matches from the No. 1 and No. 3 courts to claim the doubles point.
After
Elena Tairian's opponent retired in the first set of her singles match,
Masha Fedenko and
Emmeline Polevoi won their singles matches in straight sets from the No. 1 and No. 2 positions.
Daniela Hernandez won her singles match in a three-set thriller from the No. 4 spot while coming back from a 4-0 deficit in the final set, 6-2, 2-6, 7-5.
